Your own camera and tripod if you have them, or your preferred camera, which can be your phone.
Notebook and pen/pencil
You will learn:
• How to use natural light
• How to visualise your images and choose props, backgrounds and surfaces for lifestyle setups
• How to plan for certain crops and ratios
• The top 5 (cheap) essential accessories that will help your product shots
• How to capture movement and hands within images
• Specific tips for reflective products and capturing details
• Using your phone camera vs a DLSR and how to use a tripod
• Using Aperture Priority mode to make an image appear bright even on a dull day.
About Yeshen
Yeshen has worked with hundreds and designer/makers and small businesses in the craft and design sector and is one of the leading product photographers in London. He has run workshops around the UK with The Design Trust, New Designers, The Craft Council, ETSY, Cockpit Arts and Folksy. Alongside his photography work, Yeshen is an official Squarespace Specialist plus trainer and creates short films and animations with his partner Natasha as Yesh&Tash.
About Emma
Emma Shipley is an experienced stylist living and working in Surrey and London. She provides a full styling service for photo shoots which includes concept creation and set design. Emma has been working with Designers, Artists and Makers for over 10 years, not to mention brands such as Bills, Lindt Chocolate, M&S and Côte Brasserie.
