This is a broad category, in our experience it would cover make up and bathroom products, but also home fragrance like oils, diffusers and candles plus perfumes. These types of products are sensory, so are particulary difficult to capture in a still image. Careful choice of props and lifestyle setting is crucial.

Preparing

Packaging of glass and plastic will attract dust, so ensure you clean items before and during shoot. Check for marks and scratches on the packaging - especially the labels, these can be difficult to remove in post production.

Styling

Think about contrasting surface/backgrounds and suitable flowers/foliage/herbs.

Showing these types of products 'in use' is all about creating at atmosphere, the mood of the lighting is very important; it might be bright and fresh, or moody and calming.
