Vintage Glass

Lucinda started a website and Instagram for Alderney and Wright to grow her Vintage Glass business. She has over 30 years of experience in antique glass, working in both the UK and America. I helped her build a Squarespace website, and we’ve done photo shoots every six months, capturing hundreds of pieces.

Photographing glass is tricky because it reflects light, but it's rewarding when done well. Vintage glass varies a lot in thickness, colour, and shape. Our latest shoot was at Lucinda’s home in Pimlico. Since closing my studio last summer, I bring my lighting gear to different locations and enjoy the challenge of taking professional photos anywhere. It’s interesting to learn the stories behind each piece—some were made for specific drinks, others are decorative with beautiful details.
