The Expanded Earth

The marketing team at Little Brown needed some simple, but eye catching images of the new book from Mikey Please ‘The Expanded Earth’. The author Mikey Please created this book as the first in a trilogy of illustrated novels in which the entire human race are shrunk to the height of a handspan.

We chose a strong complementary colour on which to shoot the book and created a floating stack using a composite photography method in the edit. We also shot a number of detail images to highlight both the illustrated interior pages and page edges and end papers along with a special insert signed by the author.
