The Future of Craft 2020
Regrettably, The Future of Craft 2020 has been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Dates for the re-scheduled exhibition will be shared here when confirmed. London Craft Week has a virtual preview and plans to showcase some physical events 30 September - 8 October.
I’m still delighted to share some of the images from my last location shoot (and possibly only) of 2020. Styling by Jessica Jung.
After successfully launching in 2019, The Future of Craft returns as a destination hub for London Craft Week 2020. Initiated and curated by Oxo Tower Wharf, the exhibition showcases innovative and forward-thinking craft organisations, practitioners and collectives including displays from project collaborators Design-Nation and Future Icons.
Over five floors of the raw, industrial Bargehouse visitors can discover new projects, installations and collaborations by trailblazing makers working in textiles, furniture, ceramics, lighting, metal and interior accessories and more.
Makers House will activate the entrance space with an immersive installation exploring materials and their journey to become beautiful objects.
A programme of hands on workshops and crafts courses will be hosted by Yodomo, led by inspiring experts.
Elsewhere in the building, enjoy a programme of free talks over four days with exciting panellists and engaging topics such as sustainability in craft.
