It was created to help artists and makers at every stage of their business source the materials, tools, services and advice they need to make their creative practice thrive

All the suppliers in the directory have been tried and tested by Folksy or recommended by their community for their high-quality service and/or ethical, eco-friendly products.

Back when I started by business in 2012, many of my first clients came through Folksy and over the years I have run in person workshops, offered free online sessions during Covid and been part of a wonderful event collaboration with Crafty Fox Market in Folksy’s hometown of Sheffield called Weekend of the Maker.
