Christmas styling for Thames & Hudson

We created an engaging and visually appealing series of banner layouts for the Thames and Hudson Christmas Campaign. These carefully crafted images were intended to function effectively as both wide banners and to allow for cropping into square formats around each individual book. This presented a rewarding challenge for our styling process, as we had to ensure that we accurately previewed the square crops using the ‘Live View’ function in Capture One.

We strategically arranged the festive props in such a way that, even when cropped, they would still read beautifully to the camera. For the base, we used a pale ply wooden board, which provided a warm foundation, and layered textiles, delicate wrapping paper, and attractive foliage on top for added depth.

Smaller props were thoughtfully incorporated to introduce notes of complementary colour throughout the images, which aligned perfectly with the cover designs of the books.

The five distinct groupings we created included: Art Books, Chanel, Kids, Photo Books, and Traditional.
