10 Simple Product Photo Tips
Use a tripod for stability, consistency and longer exposures.
Choose your point of focus - where you want to direct the customer’s eye.
Add contrast/shadows to foreground/background using black foam boards.
Think about your end crop when framing your shot (i.e. for square, make sure you have enough width).
Less is more, take away props if the image feels cluttered.
Keep your horizon lines and verticals straight.
Don’t forget to capture details and texture.
Create dappled light effect by draping ripped muslin over a window on a the sunny morning.
When shooting for a product listing, ensure at least one image shows scale.
Backup your images using an external hard drive and clould storage.
