Location shoots The Welsh House cottages.
We are taking the studio on the road, working with the very talented stylist Hilary Lowe.
This is a rare opportunity to get your products styled and shot in a stunning location - just look at the shots below!
The first shoots took place in May 2016, here's some of the highlights:
The shoots will be split over two cottages in Carmarthenshire, West Wales. Both are traditional in style and offer a large choice of surfaces, furniture and props to match your products.
Dates: 26-30 September
More info and photos for both locations follows below.
TY UNNOS. This thatched cottage in a remote corner of Carmarthenshire - straight out of a fairy tale.
BRYN EGLUR. An authentic traditional Welsh Cottage, on the same plot of land as Ty Unnos with a beautiful garden.
How it will work
I will work out a bespoke quote based on how many products you want to include and the type of shots you need. The focus will be on lifestyle photography, making use of the unique interiors, furniture and props from Hilary's enviable collection.
Feel free to give me a call (07719 792931) or arrange a quick meet prior to the shoot.
Please drop off/post your products to our London studio before the shoots at 62 Thornhill Square, First Floor, London N1 1BE. If posting please arrange return shipping by either including shipping labels in the package or booking courier/parcel force for pickup on Mon 3 October.
Friday 20 May for the May shoots and on Friday 23 September for the September shoots.
Products will then be transported to Wales and we will create the images on location. Due to the isolated nature of the cottages (no wifi and phone signal) the edited shots will be sent via download link during the week following the shoot.
A bespoke quote will be created for you based on the estimated time to shoot the products, number of setups and style required.
The minimum fee will be £400
The focus will be on editorial/lifestyle images for use on your website, printed materials or submitting to press - not to mention giving you plently of imagery for social media. I'll also take behind the scenes shots which I'll share with you.
All quotes include transport of products, location hire, photographer and stylist fees (including styling prep), props, post-production/delivery of files and miscellaneous expenses. Yeshen has the relevant insurances for location work, for both equipment, persons and products. However, if items have particular value please discuss this in advance.
Once confirmed, 50% of the payment must be made in advance.
A bit of background...
I was born in the West Country (a secluded hamlet in the Quantock hills to be precise - you could actually see South Wales from a nearby hilltop) so Wales feels like home. After a few trips down there for shoots, I met Hilary and was instantly impressed by her styling skills - she makes everything look effortlessly beautiful. When we decided to set up some location shoots together, the Welsh House properties were an obvious choice.
Here's a sample of the first shoot we did together, for her brand Damson&Slate.
Known as the 'Designer/Maker's favourite Photographer', Yeshen has worked with hundreds of designers and small businesses. Using a distinctive style of lighting and composition, his focus is on the end use of the images, from websites and selling platforms to social media and printed materials. He works directly with his clients in his Islington studio and on location.
Yeshen has run presentations and workshops on product photography for ETSY, Folksy, Crafty Fox Market, The Design Trust and The Craft Council.
Alongside his wife Natasha, Yeshen also runs the design studio Yesh&Tash, creating short films, websites and animations. See more at www.yeshandtash.com
